The Portrait Society of Canada is a public professional organization dedicated to furthering the traditions of Fine Art Portraiture and Sculpture, to develop the support, promotion and public appreciation of the art of the portrait in Canada.
Founded in March 2001 in Toronto by a group of Canadian based portrait Artists, the Society has energetically pursued and fulfilled it's mission. Over the past five years the Society has conducted three Festivals, over 20 Open Studio Workshops for the Portrait Artists, Annual Members Exhibition, and added spectacular Master's workshops in 2005.
